- Allow the public to see who is influencing lawmaking
- Restore democratic checks on power
Why we need it:
Massachusetts is consistently ranked as one of the least transparent legislatures in the country. Bay Staters deserve a government that centers their voices — not one that bends over backwards to keep them out. How are Bay Staters supposed to exercise their power as constituents when they do not know whether their legislators and Governor are upholding their campaign promises?
