VOTES Act

An Act fostering voting opportunities, trust, equity, and security - H.805 - S.459

  • Ensures that all Massachusetts residents that are eligible to vote are able to register to vote or change the address at which they are registered on Election Day

  • Requires that vote-by-mail and in-person early voting be available to all Massachusetts voters

  • Includes jail-based voting reforms to ensure that eligible incarcerated voters are given everything they need to cast their ballots

  • Implements risk limiting audits which would improve the state's election auditing process by reducing cost while improving trust in our elections
